Summary

A single storey Gothic style cemetery chapel constructed between 1860-61. It is of knapped flint with galletting and red brick dressings and has a slate roof. Box pews with fielded panels and a pulpit with Gothic detailing have been preserved within the interior. The land for the cemetery (NHER 33459) and the chapel windows were gifted by Benjamin Bond Cabell in 1860 and 1861.

THIS CHAPEL WAS FORMERLY RECORDED UNDER NHER 33459.

The chapel was seen in passing by E. Rose (NAU).
It is a construction of high quality formed of knapped and squared flint, and brick dressings.

2004.
Chapel and four headstones listed grade II.
Chapel has box pews and pulpit.
Headstones are those of Bethuell Stimpson, George Harrison (fishermen) James Davies (lifeboat coxswain) and Williams Balls, which includes a depiction of his ship (see NHER 33459 for details).

2008.
Disused since 1956, the chapel has fallen into disrepair. However, the town council is seeking funding to restore the building.
