Full Description
November-December 2007. Auger Survey.
The survey revealed a number of palaeosols and the development of soil in this area may have been caused by a lower water table resulting in less frequent waterlogging. It is possible that these buried soils may contain dry land archaeological sites on the ridge running between the two depressions.
See report (S1) for further details.
S. Howard (NLA), 15 December 2009.
June 2008. Trial Trench.
