Summary

A watching brief during the stripping of a pipeline easement in 2008 failed to identify any archaeologically significant finds or features. A wide linear feature was however noted during this a subsequent examination of the stripped surface. This probable ditch produced a significant number of Iron Age pottery sherds, along with two Roman pottery sherds. A smaller feature identified nearby produced a mix of Iron Age to Roman and medieval pottery sherds.
