Summary

Metal-detecting in 2008 and 2011 recovered medieval pottery sherds; Roman and medieval coins; a post-medieval jetton and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval finger ring, pot mend, weight and thimble or sewing ring; a medieval/post-medieval pilgrim badge and copper alloy vessel fragments and a post-medieval harness mount, weight, spur and crotal bell.

Full Description

June - July 2008. metal-detecting.
3 Roman coins (inc 1 silver).
1 medieval coin, 2 buckle frame fragments ( inc 1 gilt), 3 white metal buttons, 1 belt mount (gilt), 1 ?belt mount, 1 belt fitting, 1 lead weight and 2 lead pot mends.
1 ?medieval child's finger ring.
1 medieval/post-medieval buckle frame, 1 purse frame pendant loop fragment and 2 vessel rim fragments.
2 post-medieval jettons, 1 harness mount, 1 belt/harness mount (tinned), 2 buckle frames (inc 1 tinned), 1 button and 1 lead weight.
