Map

This radar dish was one of only three such structures in use in the second world war. Made for the D-Day landings, this example was originally at an unknown location on the south coast. After the war it was taken to Jodrell Bank for research and then to Swansea University. It was brought to Norfolk in 1994 (see (S1) in file). Although the radar dish now stands within the World War Two airfield (NHER10466), this is not a historic association - all the same, this is a structure of very great importance.
