Full Description
A barn, unusually large, built of carstone, clunch and brick with tumbled gables, around the mid 18th century. A second barn a right angles to the first now has a 20th century roof. There are pentise stables. There are early 19th century stables with their own yards and tack room, and a granery/cartlodge and shed, a cowhouse and a small barn, all from the 19th century. There are shelter sheds with yards, covered over the later 19th century. This is a LeStrange estate farm with stabling for 24 horses, a large barn and extensive yards, although the latter are now unrecognisable.
The house is not described but was visited by E. Rose (NLA) in the early 1980s and is considered to be of two builds, the first around 1800AD, the second in the later 19th century. Detailed records of such buildings were not kept at this time.
