Summary

The remains of a possible hollow way were noted here during a visit to this area in 2007. The hollow way is not marked on the Tithe Map of 1838.

19 April 2007. Field Survey.
Apparent hollow way - up to 3m deep and 5m across in the centre, but funnelling out to the north opposite the church gateway. Old trees line the lips, and the interior is filled with scrub. If this is an older course of the main road it must predate (S1) which shows the wood and the present road.
