Summary

This three-storey building dates to the 18th century. It has a rendered street elevation, red brick rear façade and a contemporary cellar. There is also a plaque commemorating the jubilee year of King George III (1809); an unusual public commendation of that king.

January 1981. Building Survey.
Examined as part of Norwich Survey.
Three-storey block of 18th-century date, refaced in recent years. Interiors gutted but suspicion of stair turret at rear. Rear façade red brick with sashes. Roof, double butt purlin all pegged, chamfered purlin terminations, ties, king posts and angled struts. Contemporary cellar.

May 2007. Field Observation.
Two storeys to street. Upper floor with three Georgian style windows, wall rendered in an ornate pattern which may not be original. 20th century shop below. The interest of this building lies in an original plaque that states 'Rebuilt in the Jubilee Year of the Best of Monarchs MDCCCIX' (1809). This refers to George III and is an unusual public commendation of that king.
