Summary

Earthworks associated with the site of a 19th to 20th century brickyard and kiln are visible on visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2021. As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently, it is likely that the earthworks still survive. The features consist of a series of banks, ditches and mounds likely associated with the site of the brickyard. Large pits can also be seen in the west of the site which likely relate to extractive pits. One of the pits appears to now relate to a pond. It is uncertain if any structural elements survive as the area is covered by tree canopies on recent (2025) aerial photographs. The site is also recorded on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6" map but on the Western Longville tithe map

Earthworks associated with the site of a 19th to 20th century brickyard and kiln are visible on visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2021 (S3). As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently, it is likely that the earthworks still survive. The features consist of a series of banks, ditches and mounds likely associated with the site of the brickyard. Large pits can also be seen in the west of the site which likely relate to extractive pits. It is uncertain if any structural elements survive as the area is covered by tree canopies on recent (2025) aerial photographs (S4). Field visits would be required to ground truth the earthworks visible on the lidar data and to establish the presence of any surviving structural remains.
