Map

Casual Observation, 4 July 2007.
Yellow brick mansion constructed in English bond with a slate roof. Two storeys, now of three projecting bays under a hipped roof, plus two recessed bays to the right. External end stack to the left, now capped, and another to the right. Reconstruction drawing in file (S1) shows this as a portion of an almost symmetrical building with a further four recessed bays and a similar three bay pavillion at the other end, but this section with two rear stacks. The owners in 2007 stated that the building was partly burned down in 1802 (when, from its style, it cannot have been of a great age), that two sections of cellars remain, one backfilled, and that there were copious documents in the Norfolk Record Office before the fire at that establishment.
E. Rose (NLA), 4 July 2007.
