Summary

Metal-detecting in Norfolk at some time between 1992 and 2005 recovered a fragment of Early Saxon gold bracteate or pendant. The significant of this object was not initially recognised and it was not reported until 2007, by which time its exact provenance was no longer known. It is however highly likely that it was found in Sporle with Palgrave.
