Full Description
November 2008. Norfolk NMP.
A World War Two emergency water supply tank is visible on wartime aerial photographs (S1)-(S2) at TG 2496 1194 on Wroxham Road. The water tank is visible as an extant circular concrete structure, measuring 7m in diameter, and was presumably for the emergency use of fire fighters during bombing raids on the area. A similar tank at the junction of Plumstead Road East and Thunder Lane was removed by April 1947 (NHER 51907).
E. Bales (NMP), 5 November 2008.
