Full Description
November 2008. Norfolk NMP.
A Type 24 pillbox (S1) is visible at TG 2509 1172, located on the inner bank of the anti-tank ditch (NHER 51893), showing on aerial photographs until 1947 (S2)-(S4). It occupies a strategic position, being situated near to a field corner and a crossing point in the ditch, which is further protected by anti-tank cubes on either side. More recent aerial photographs (S5) illustrate that the pillbox has since been destroyed.
E. Bales (NMP), 5 November 2008.
