Summary

Metal-detecting between 2008 and 2015 recovered Iron Age and Roman pottery sherds ; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins, including a hoard of 4th-century date; medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval jettons, post-medieval tokens and undatable, Roman and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include an undated rivet and ferrule; a Roman brooch and furniture fitting; a medieval/post-medieval thimble and medieval/post-medieval to post-medieval weights.

The hoard of Roman coins first discovered in October 2008 was reported as Treasure case 2008 T707, declared Treasure at inquest on 13 September 2010 and subsequently acquired by Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2011.465).
