Febuary 2022. Aylsham and Brampton Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
The cropmarks of a fragmented trackway of an unknown date are seen on aerial photographs (S1-S3). The date of the feature is unknown. It possible that the trackway is medieval-post medieval in date, however, it is also possible that the trackway may be Iron Age to Roman in date. Sections of the trackway are seen within the interior of a possible Iron Age- Roman enclosure (NHER 65631) in the centre of the area. The relationship between the enclosure and the trackway is uncertain and its possible that the trackway could be earlier or later in date than the enclosure. The monument polygon has been amended to the extent of the features as seen on S1-S3.
