Summary
In November 2008 during the removal of the exisiting derelict wooden groynes on the lower foreshore to replace them with rock revetments for the new sea defences linear features of unknown date interpreted as cart tracks were revealed.

During removal of the exisitng derelict wooden sea defences linear features 120cm apart interpreted as cart tracks were uncovered.
