Summary

A destroyed monument, indicated by documentary sources which refer to a 'white horse cut out of the short turf that concealed the chalk in the neighbourhood of the old Episcopal town of Thetford’.

See (S1) and (S2), which refer to a ‘white horse cut out of the short turf that concealed the chalk in the neighbourhood of the old Episcopal town of Thetford’. (S3) believed that this might have been on the ridge near Great Snarehill. It is possible that this was somewhere near the Seven Hills barrow cemetery (NHER 5958).
