1950. In Broom's Close.
Brick tunnel discovered: a possible brick kiln. See (S1).This name is unknown even to the oldest inhabitants, but informant is sure it is a mistake for Bradmere Close where brick kilns have been known to appear in the past. See NHER 12402.

2008.
Broom's Close is said to be a field name at this location, where the top of a tunnel was ploughed off (S2).
