Summary

Metal-detecting between 2008 and 2020 recovered Roman, Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; an undatable lava quern fragment; medieval and post-medieval coins; a post-medieval jetton; undatable lead possible metal-working scrap and a number of other, Early Saxon and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include an Early Saxon probable shield mount; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories and lead weights; a medieval harness mount and lead pot mends; a medieval/post-medieval crudely cast ring, copper alloy vessel repair and lead window cames and post-medieval rings, a furniture handle escutcheon plate, rowel spur, furniture nail/tack, iron rotary key, writing leads and lead possible kosher meat seal.
