Map

July 2008. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of groundworks associated with installation of French drain.
Excavation at the western end of the trench produced a brick-rubble deposit overlying a brick-weave floor and the remains of an unstanding wall aligned north-south. It is likely that the wall and brick-weave floor represents the remains of a Victorian or Edwardian outhouse. The brick rubble deposit was of 20th century origin and may have come from the clearance of bomb damage during the Second World War.
See report (S1) for further details.
The associated archive has been deposited with the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2016.104).
