Summary

Metal-detecting between 2008 and 2017 recovered a prehistoric flint scraper; Roman and medieval pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; post-medieval jettons; a post-medieval token and various other, Roman and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include Late Saxon bridle fittings and a stirrup-strap mount; Late Saxon to post-medieval lead spindle whorls; medieval and post-medieval dress accessories (including a medieval gold brooch and post-medieval silver cuff link); medieval harness pendants, a thimble, padlock and sword-scabbard chape; medieval/post-medieval purse fragments, a sword guard, copper alloy vessel fragments and lead weights and post-medieval spurs, belt or harness mounts, various bells, a purse bar, scabbard chape, sword-belt fitting, mount, hooked book clasp, pocket sundial, openwork knife handle, copper alloy weight, unidentified copper alloy object and lead cloth seals.
