Summary

A World War Two firing range is visible on RAF aerial photographs of Garboldisham Heath taken in October 1946. It consists of a main butt at its northern end, and a series of six parallel firing banks arranged to the south.

The earthworks of a World War Two firing range are visible on aerial photographs (S1) of Garboldisham Heath. The range consists of a main target butt at TL 9899 8219 and a series of six parallel firing banks arranged to the south of the main butt. These are all approximately 90m (100 yards) apart. Each bank has a ditch to the north. A track runs from the road to the south up to the main butt.
