Summary

Metal-detecting in 2009 recovered a Roman coin. A fieldwalking and metal-detecting survey between January and May 2010 recovered Roman, Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval pottery and an assemblage of Neolithic to Early Bronze Age struck flint including flakes, blades and scrapers.

January-May 2010. Systematic Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey.
Field survey of proposed development area (Field 15).
The survey recovered Roman, Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval pottery and an assemblage of Neolithic to Early Bronze Age struck flint including flakes, blades and scrapers. Metal finds from this site included an 18th century buckle, an Edward VII farthing and a copper alloy finger ring with flat bezel and integrated screw thred attachment.
