Summary

A cropmark of a D shaped enclosure of unknown date is visible on aerial photographs. It is possible that it is related to Iron Age to early Roman D shaped enclosures nearby (NHER 45119 and 45122) and could be of a similar date. It appears to overly, or perhaps to make up part of the incomplete curvilinear enclosure recorded as NHER 45124.

Map

August 2009. Norfolk NMP
A cropmark of a D shaped enclosure of unknown date is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). This cropmark is centred on TG 3029 1128. It has a regular curvilinear plan with rounded corners and lies on a northwest to southeast axis. It is defined by a 2.5m wide ditch and measures 47m by 58m externally. This enclosure is cut by field boundaries of probable medieval to early post medieval date (NHER 45123). It could be related to a possible Iron Age to early Roman D-shaped enclosure cropmark located 80m to its southwest (NHER 45122) and therefore could be of a similar date.
It appears to overlay, or perhaps to make up part of the incomplete curvilinear enclosure recorded as NHER 45124.
