Full Description
March 2009. Norfolk NMP.
A possible small (2.8m by 4m) military defence post structure was visible on aerial photographs (S1), at the junction of Plumstead Road and Lion Wood Road, at TG 2498 0938. It is possible that it may be related to the presence of Nissen hut structures 288m to the northeast (NHER 52010) and other military structures in the vicinity. However, it was not possible to recognise the structure on photographs from the early part of World War Two (S2).
E. Bales (NMP), 14 March 2009.
March 2010. Norfolk NMP.
The World War Two structure described above is probably the air raid warden’s post, Post C, recorded by Banger (S3).
S. Tremlett (NMP), 3 March 2010.
