Map

March 2009. Norfolk NMP.
A cropmark of an undated possible D-shaped enclosure is visible on aerial photographs (S1), centred on TG 2897 0744. The feature is slightly ephemeral, and not entirely convincing as archaeology, and, only being visible on one set of photographs, has been recorded with caution.

It measures 29m x 19m, and is oriented north northwest-south southeast, with a slightly curved southern end, giving it an elongated D-shape. It appears to be aligned with the field boundary to its east, and therefore may be dated to the medieval to post medieval period, but may also represent a more recent agricultural feature. It lies within an area of multi-period finds (NHER 31761).
E. Bales (NMP), 20 March 2009.
