Summary

An earthwork ditch and bank are visible on aerial photographs to the west of Whitlingham Hall Barns. The features lie approximately 12m to the west of a field boundary marked on the Kirby Bedon Tithe map of 1900, and as such may represent a medieval to post medieval field boundary, or possible drainage feature.

An earthwork ditch and bank are visible on aerial photographs (S1) centred at TG 2741 0070.
The features measure approximately 50m in length, and run from TG 2740 0772 to TG 2741 0767. The ditch measures up to 0.5m in width, and the bank approximately 1m. The features lie approximately 12m to the west of a field boundary marked on the Kirby Bedon Tithe map of 1900, and as such may represent a medieval to post medieval field boundary. It is also possible that they may represent a drainage feature. The earthwork is only visible on one set of photographs, and has been ploughed out by 1996 (S2), although is still visible as a faint grassmark at this time.
