Map

May 2009. Norfolk NMP.
An undated possible sub-square enclosure is visible as cropmarks of a ditch and bank on aerial photographs (S1)-(S2), centred at TG 2767 0978. The enclosure measures 40m x 50m externally, the ditch itself is up to 7m wide in places. There is also a possible extension to the ditch in the south-eastern corner, or possible conjoined pit feature, measuring 16m x 24m. A bank feature is visible around the north, west and south sides of the ditch, measuring up to 9m in width. It is similar in size to the possible enclosure recorded 400m to the north west (NHER 51913), and may therefore date to the medieval to post medieval period, although its isolated nature makes it difficult to be certain.
E. Bales (NMP), 21 May 2009.
