A World War Two bomb crater is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs (S1) dating from 1946, on a patch of open ground between Thorpe Road and the Norwich to Yarmouth railway line, centred on TG 2520 0827. The crater itself measures 20m in diameter, and an upcast bank or halo of spoil, measuring up to 3m in diameter, is visible around the outside.
