Summary

Metal-detecting and a watching brief in 2006 revealed prehistoric worked flints and a post-medieval strap fitting. Further metal-detecting in 2006 and 2014 recovered Iron Age, Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; Roman and medieval coins; a post-medieval jetton and undated and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include undated metalworking debris; a medieval bell and ampulla; a medieval/post-medieval possible tankard lid fragment and post-medieval crotal furniture escutcheons and a crotal bell.
