Full Description
February-March 2006. Watching Brief and Metal-detecting Survey.
Monitoring and metal-detecting undertaken during topsoil stripping and trenching for Binham to Houghton St Giles water pipeline (Collection Units 293-302 and 305-307).
Finds comprised prehistoric burnt flint, a post-medieval buckle and undated fragments of lava, possibly a quern.
A fragment of a linear feature was noted at TF 9472 3640 but no dating evidence was recovered from this feature and its function is unknown.
