February-March 2006. Watching Brief and Metal-detecting Survey.
Monitoring and metal-detecting undertaken during topsoil stripping and trenching for Binham to Houghton St Giles water pipeline (Collection Units 175-192, 209-228 and 308-337).
Finds comprised a large number of prehistoric worked flints, Roman pottery and metal objects, medieval pottery and metal objects and several post-medieval metal finds.
