Map

July 2009. Borehole Survey.
Window sampling evaluation of proposed redevelopment site. Context 1.
The evaluation of a former workshop by window sampling revealed a thin band of gritty sand or possibly mortar which seems to indicate the earliest human activity on this site. Unfortunately no dating evidence for this event was recovered. Made ground overlaid this horizon and contained building materials including brick, tile and mortar dating to the medieval and post-medieval period, suggesting that buildings of this date stood on this site.
