Full Description
January 2009. Walkover Survey.
Archaeological Earthwork Rapid Identification Survey, Marsham Heath.
Site 9:
A linear depression is shown on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map as a sand pit, however the feature looks more like a hollow way in form. The location of this feature on the heath means this interpretation of the earthwork as a hollow way is unconvincing, and therefore it may be a natural feature.
See report (S1) for further details.
H. White (NLA), 3 September 2009. Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 25 August 2015.
