Map

Archaeological Earthwork Rapid Identification Survey, Marsham Heath.
Site 10:
A well-defined bank up to 0.7m high, with an at times degraded outer ditch. The south-east corner of the feature has been cut by tracks, and in the west the boundary with Woodcutter's cottage is incomplete. Some mature trees exist on the bank, often coppiced. An east-west track dividing the wood is seen on Faden's map of 1797, and is seen as a series of ridges and depressions in the woodland to the west. The form of the boundary bank suggests a possible medieval origin.
See report (S1) for further details.
