Map

Nonconformist burial ground, formed in 1860 (S1).
Externally this looks like a dense piece of woodland, but once through the perimeter it is relatively clear and accessible inside, with young trees, saplings and ivy ground cover. Within living memory this was being maintained, and the remains of the entrance – curved walls with iron railings – fronting onto the road are still to be found. A local informant reported that there were six graves with headstones on the site, but none could be found.
For the site of the nearby Primitive Methodist chapel see NHER 52945.
D. Gurney (NLA), 14 August 2009.
