Map

October 2009. Norfolk NMP.
A possible rectangular enclosure is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs, orientated roughly north northeast-south southwest, centred on TG 1625 1957.
The cropmark is made up of several sections of linear ditch, measuring approximately 81m x 67m in area, and forming a definite right angle in the north-western corner. The other three corners are not so clear, partly due to the fact that the underlying geology obscures the archaeological features in these areas, and it is difficult to ascertain whether there is a clear entrance to the enclosure.
The south-eastern corner is partly obscured by geological features, but it appears to be cut by a north northwest-south southeast oriented ditch extending northward from an enclosure of possible medieval-post medieval date (NHER 52340).
E. Bales (NMP), October 2009.
