Summary

A number of undated linear features are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. At least two of these may represent a continuation of a trackway visible on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map, to the south (NHER 34253). It is therefore possible that these features are medieval to post medieval in date. The other features are difficult to distinguish from the underlying geology and as such may not be archaeological in nature, but have been mapped with a note of caution.

Map

October 2009. Norfolk NMP.
A number of undated linear features are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1)-(S2), centred on TG 1544 1888.
The most prominent of these are two parallel ditches, approximately 4m apart, the longest of which runs for approximately 74m from TG 1546 1885 to TG 1546 1892. They may represent a continuation of the trackway visible to the south (NHER 34253).
The other, fragmentary linear features to the west are on a similar north northeast-south south west alignment, but they are difficult to distinguish from the underlying geology and as such may not be archaeological in nature, but have been mapped with a note of caution.
E. Bales (NMP), October 2009.
