Map

October 2009. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks and cropmarks of probable drainage features are visible on aerial photographs (S1)-(S4), centred on TG 1501 1825.
Whilst it is clear that many of the features may be modern in date, it is also possible that some may be modern drainage ditches that are following earlier earthworks.
The site consists of a series of ditches, some of which form L-shaped features (eg at TG 1536 1839 and TG 1487 1831 which may otherwise have been interpreted as fragmentary enclosures. However comparison of the ditches with other nearby drainage channels could indicate that these apparent ‘enclosures’ are in fact a rectilinear arrangement of drainage channels. The linears are all broadly aligned the same as the surrounding field and drain layout.
E. Bales (NMP), October 2009.
