Map

October 2009. Norfolk NMP.
Several linear ditch features, many of which appear to have performed a drainage function, are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs(S1)-(S3), centred on TG 1716 1704 to the north of Felthorpe Common.
Several of the ditches correspond with field boundaries depicted on the Felthorpe Tithe Map of 1840 (S4), in particular the curvilinear boundary stretching from TG 1698 1720 to TG 1718 1705, and a shorter linear feature which runs from TG 1737 1700 to TG 1732 1697, and has later drainage ditches cut into it.
E. Bales (NMP), October 2009.
