Map

October 2009. Norfolk NMP.
Two curvilinear ditches or possible trackway are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1), on land to the south of Reepham Road, Taverham, centred on TG 1715 1553. These features are fragmentary, and only visible on one set of photographs, and it is possible that they represent geological rather than archaeological features, and have thus been recorded with a note of caution.
The total length of the combined features is approximately 55m, and is made up of a 26m ditch up to 1.8m in width, which overlaps for a time with a 18m ditch, up to 1.9m in width. Fragments of both of these ditches appear to be visible to the northwest, although these may be elongated pit featues, or possibly geological marks.
E. Bales (NMP), October 2009.

April and September 2022. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of part of large proposed development site.
This survey identified no evidence for surviving remains associated with these cropmarks.
See report (S2) and NHER 61117 for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 4 April 2026.

July-September 2025. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of part of large proposed development site.
A trench placed to coincide with these cropmarks recorded no potentially associated remains.
See report (S3) and NHER 61117 for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 4 April 2026.
