The barrow cemetery at Horsford Woods, centred on TG 1923 1832, represents a group of ten or more possible Bronze Age barrows, some of which are unconfirmed despite systematic study of the available aerial photographs. The dispersed cemetery covers approximately 2.2km by 0.5km of heathland and plantation.
The cemetery includes two large embanked barrows with double concentric ring ditches (NHER 7779 and 18491), although the latter is no longer visible as an earthwork. Two oval barrows (NHER 7772 and 7773) and three round barrows (NHER 7774, 7777 and 52450) are also visible as earthworks. Two possible ring ditches are visible as vegetation marks (NHER 52450 and 52426).
Also, two previously reported round barrows (NHER 7775 and 52451) and two ring ditches (NHER 7776 and 7778) could not be confirmed from the study of the aerial photographs.
