Full Description
November 2009. Norfolk NMP.
A possible undated linear ditch feature is visible as a cropmark on an aerial photograph (S1), stretching 60m north-south from TG 1867 1744 to TG 1867 1738.
The cropmark itself is rather faint and ephemeral, although is quite broad (up to 3.9m in width) and, due to the fact that there are many geological features visible in the field, it is possible that this feature is not archaeological in nature. The fact that it is only visible on one photographic frame means that it has been recorded with a note of caution.
E. Bales (NMP), November 2009.
February-March 2017. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of large proposed development area.
Although several trenches were positioned in order to investigate this cropmark feature no corresponding sub-surface remains were identified.
See report (S2) and NHER 62520 for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 1 February 2018.
