Summary

During earthmoving in the 1970s and 1980s, undated fired clay and daub fragments; Iron Age, Roman, medieval and post medieval pottery; a Roman tile fragment; a Roman coin; and a post medieval bell were recovered as stray finds.

1970s-1980s. Casual finds whilst earth moving.
1 Roman coin. Iron Age, Roman, medieval and post medieval pottery, a post medieval brick and clapper bell and undatable iron smelting slag. Further finds made in 1970s or 1980s include a Romano-British furniture knob, medieval buckle frame, vitrified post-medieval floor and roof tile and pottery sherds.

Undated fragments of fine oxidised fired clay, and daub from a stud walling or from a hearth or kiln structure.
