Summary

Metal-detecting between 2009 and 2017 recovered prehistoric worked flint, including a Neolithic scraper; medieval to post medieval pottery sherds; medieval and post-medieval coins; a post-medieval jetton and Middle/Late Bronze Age, Late Iron Age/Roman, Early Saxon and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Middle/Late Bronze Age copper alloy sprue or casting jet from a two-part mould; a Late Iron Age/Roman terret and brooch; a Roman plate brooch; an Early Saxon brooch; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval casket key, ampulla, thimble, pot mend, copper alloy vessel leg and purse frame fragment; medieval/post-medieval copper alloy rings, cloth seals, copper alloy vessel fragments, a lead weight and candlestick fragment and post-medieval crotal bells, cloth seals and a counter.
