Map

January 2010. Norfolk NMP.
Three linear ditches are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1), on land to the south of Stanfield Road, Wymondham, centred on TG 1352 0052. The features are extremely faint, and only visible on one set of photographs. They have therefore been recorded with a note of caution.
All three ditches appear to be on the same north northwest-south southeast alignment. Two very faint ditches are visible 39m apart, with a third slightly more substantial (up to 1.7m wide) ditch situated approximately 90m to the east, running from TG 1359 0053 to TG 1360 0043.
The western-most ditch coincides exactly with a field boundary visible on the first edition Ordnance Survey map (S2), and as the other two ditches are on the same alignment it is likely that they also represent post medieval field boundaries.
E. Bales (NMP), January 2010.
