Map

January 2010. Norfolk NMP.
Several undated linear ditch features are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1)-(S3) on land to the west of Wicklewood Hall, Wicklewood, centred on TG 0843 0061.
There are many linear ditch cropmarks in this area that clearly represent field boundaries visible on the tithe map of 1844 (S4), and these have not been mapped.
A faint and blurred linear feature running east west from TG 0813 0069 to TG 0824 0068 may represent the former extent of an area of woodland, visible on the tithe map (S4).
To the east, a possible double-ditched trackway is visible, running from TG 0847 0069 to TG 0856 0071, although this may represent a trackway, or avenue of trees depicted on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map (S5).
A possible enclosure, or early field boundary, is suggested by the linear feature centred on TG 0859 0056, which appears to represent the northwest corner of a larger, partially masked feature.
E. Bales (NMP), January 2010.
