Full Description
November 2002-January 2003. Geophysical and fieldwalking survey. Bacton to King's Lynn pipeline plot 150.
A large discrete anomaly was detected by the geophysical survey but the origin or nature of this feature is not known. Fieldwalking recovered worked flint including four scrapers, one blade and seven flakes. Three fragments of post-medieval ceramic building material and pieces of slag were also found. The metal detecting survey located five fragments of metal including a possible post-medieval button (S1). The name 'Church Field' on the tithe map could indicate that a church one stood in this location or that the field belonged to the church (S2).
