Summary

A fieldwalking and metal detecting survey between 2002 and 2003 recovered burnt flint, medieval brick, post-medieval ceramic building material, post-medieval wine glass, piece of slag and an early post-medieval copper alloy button. Further metal-detecting in 2012 recovered medieval and post-medieval coins as well as Roman, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Roman copper alloy stud; a medieval pot mend and spindle whorl; a medieval/post-medieval lead weight and vessel fragments and post-medieval saddle pommel.

November 2002-January 2003. Geophysical, metal detecting and fieldwalking survey. Bacton to King's Lynn pipeline plot 57.
A linear anomaly was detected by the geophysical survey of unknown origin. Fieldwalking recovered burnt flint, medieval brick, post-medieval ceramic building material, post-medieval wine glass and a piece of slag. The metal detecting survey found three fragments of metal including an early post-medieval copper alloy button.
