Summary

A Late Bronze Age hoard is said to have been found in Sparham, although the precise location is unknown. The hoard comprises socketed axes, socketed spearheads, a chisel or punch, a socketed gouge, fragments of dirks, sword blades, razors and three casting jets. The hoard is believed to be one and the same as a hoard identified in 1997.

Late Bronze Age hoard said to have been found as a group. The Hoard comprises two socketed axes, three socketed spearheads, a socketed chisel or punch, a gouge, two incomplete dirks, two sword blade fragments, three casting jets and a possible razor.

A. Rogerson was given the opportunity to record a hoard found at a metal detector rally in 1997. The chisel/ punch and the gouge described above suggests that these hoards are one and the same.
